Partnership Spotlight: Pudding Hill Farm Products at Rasta Rootz

At Rasta Rootz, we’re all about partnering with other brands that share our commitment to quality cannabis and a close-knit community.

In this blog, we’re highlighting one of the partners that reflects our values and helps create elevated cannabis experiences: Pudding Hill Farm. This small but mighty new cultivator is bringing some serious heart to the Massachusetts cannabis scene and we’re excited to have them on our shelves.

Who is Pudding Hill Farm?

Tucked away in the Massachusetts countryside, Pudding Hill Farm is more than just a cannabis cultivator. As the smallest licensed cultivator in the state, this veteran- and gay-owned farm is built on sustainability and community.

Their fields are not only home to thoughtfully grown cannabis, but to fresh, locally sourced produce. It’s also a community gathering spot for seasonal events, educational tours, and farm-to-table experiences.

Why Rasta Rootz is Partnering with Pudding Hill Farm

We’re always on the lookout for growers who take pride in their work from seed to shelf. Pudding Hill Farm stands out not only for the quality of their flower, but for the genuine care they bring to every step of their process.

Plus, as a black and woman-owned small business ourselves, we love supporting other minority-owned and local brands.

How We Connected With Pudding Hill Farm

We were lucky to meet Tom Fielding, the heart behind Pudding Hill Farm, at NECANN Boston earlier this year. A mutual friend introduced us and told us about this small-scale operation that was, at the time, only available in five dispensaries across Massachusetts.

Once we heard their story and saw their flower, we knew we wanted to bring them to our Boston dispensary.

What We Admire About Pudding Hill Farm

Aside from offering some hard-to-find “old school” strains like Moby Dick and Jack Herer, Pudding Hill Farm nails the small touches that show how much they care. When we recently received a delivery of their Moby Dick, they included a physical copy of the classic novel. That kind of thoughtfulness? Rare. And it didn’t stop there.

Each container is topped with a handwritten note, and their strain descriptions read like something out of a creative writing workshop. It’s a vibe, and we’re here for it.

This delivery experience is hands-down the most intimate and thoughtful we’ve ever encountered. In an industry that often feels rushed or transactional, Pudding Hill slows it down and brings the focus back to connection, quality, and storytelling. It’s something we think a lot of other brands can take note of.

For being literally the smallest cultivators in the state, their presentation always feels “big.”

Introducing Pudding Hill Farm at Our Dispensary

We’re beyond thrilled to now offer Pudding Hill Farm flower on our menu. Currently, we’re stocking six of their hand-crafted strains: Durban Poison, Acapulco Gold, Violeta, Moby Dick, Jack Herer, and Humboldt Headband.

Two instant favorites among the Rasta Rootz crew are Humboldt Headband and Violeta. And just in time for spring, we’re proud to feature their Spring harvest lineup, fresh from the farm and ready to roll up.

Spring 2025 Flower Strains

Check out these strain descriptions from the Pudding Hill Farm team on their seasonal spring harvest:

Jack Herer

Sativa dominant

Like a lightning bolt in a lemon grove — zesty, uplifting and profoundly clarifying. With the pep of a poet’s morning espresso and the chill of a sage at sunset, this legendary strain dances across your mind with notes of pine, spice, and citrus.

It’s the strain that makes philosophy feel like play, and errands feel like joy.

Humboldt Headband

Indica dominant

Like a campfire jam session in the redwoods — earthy, groovy and just a little wild around the edges. This West Coast classic wraps around your temples with a mellow but knowing grin, blending the laid-back hug of OG Kush and the zoned-out gaze of Sour Diesel.

The flavor hits like piney citrus incense drifting through a record store and the high rides in smooth and strong. Perfect for anyone who wants to settle into the sounds of the trees whistling in the wind.

Moby Dick

Sativa dominant

Born from the mighty White Widow and the dreamy Haze, Moby Dick is a cerebral leviathan, vast as the ocean, surging with waves of euphoria and a wandering eye that could turn even Captain Ahab into a chill surfer. Notes of citrus and pine coat the mouth like a salt mist, and the uplift is strong and focused.

It’s the strain for reimagining your life goals, mid-philosophical musings and a sudden urge to start a podcast.
