How We Connected With Fat Nugs Magazine

Our journey to discovering Fat Nugs Magazine actually started with a bit of a scam. After placing an order for a subscription to High Times Magazine—only to find out the publication was no longer operating and we’d been duped out of $30—we went looking for something better.

That’s when we saw a post from Bearded Bros (another one of our beloved partners) on LinkedIn about Fat Nugs Magazine. A quick search later, and it was clear: this was exactly what we were looking for. Fat Nugs wasn’t about corporate cannabis. It was actually rooted in the culture, the plant, and the people.

Shortly after, we hopped on a call with Dustin Hoxworth, the founder of the magazine, and what was meant to be a quick 20-minute chat turned into over an hour of real talk about the industry, culture, and the shared mission we’re both pushing forward. That conversation sealed the deal. Our Founder Fern even says this was one of the best “work” calls he’s ever had in his career.
